FEBRUARY
02 I’ve always been obsessed with light and how it behaves when it hits objects. I like cows, and the tiny details in big paintings. For some reason, I’m also into the layouts of surveillance cameras. I love looking at myself and people through those layouts/screens.
Light, objects, and trash on the street are things I keep coming back to. I’m in love with old 90s-00s advertising and having so much fun making tight shots of Harry (last photo from this month's entry).
I love photos of girls with guns, still figuring out the reasons, but the idea deeply inspires me.
MARCH
03 Shrimp is still my favorite protein. We went to Sedona and caught one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen. Vernacular graphic design always hits me somewhere real. The way light shows up in Arizona is weirdly beautiful, kind of like California sunsets, but not quite. Something about this exact coordinate on earth makes it unique and special; I still can’t fully explain it.
Is “regular milk” a good name for a juice brand? Is faith actually moving people right now? How do you live without it? Creativity feels like survival, but also like a gift, something that lets you process, show, express, and even glorify the fact that we’re here living in God.
Cows are still an obsession. I used to send cow photos to my friend Sammy in London. Lately I’ve been traveling around Arizona we went to Arcosanti, which lowkey reminds me of Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, that kind of Mexican architecture language.
Living in Arizona is tough. Not for everyone. But what is for everyone?

APRIL
04 Work trip to Portland, visited the Seamus HQ, which reminded me of BuenaVibraForever, I stayed at Beaverton, which made me feel like I was in a Stranger Things movie set, I love it when I can still experience the America I experienced when I was a kid, meaning the Americana style from the late 80’s and end of 90’s.
I received some developed and scanned film from the day Superiority Burger made a pop-up in Phoenix at Bad Jimmy’s.
Key inspiration moments from this month were: Finding a Sasha and John Digweed record, the master's pillow I saw at Seamus HQ, the Columbia installation at Portland’s airport, walking at night in Beaverton, feeling like I was in the 90’s, and the cereal we ate at Smoothie Vortex.
This was an intrinsically hard month where I had to face ownership of my creative decisions at 100%, it’s great to be asked to resolve something, propose your solution, and be helped to execute it.
